Accessibility Statement
This is a courtesy translation. The German version is binding: Erklärung zur Barrierefreiheit.
Location Science GmbH wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. This statement applies to the website location-science.com.
Standard and conformance
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, as referenced by EN 301 549 and the German Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG). The website is partially conformant: most of the content meets the standard, and the parts listed below do not yet.
Known limitations
- The four older landing pages about story maps have not yet been fully re-tested after the redesign; heading structure and link text there may be less clear.
- Links to the Apple App Store and Google Play lead to third-party sites whose accessibility we do not control.
- The consent banner is operated with the keyboard and screen readers, but it cannot yet be reopened from the page once a choice has been made; see the cookie policy for how to reset it.
How the website is built
The website uses semantic HTML, a visible keyboard focus on every interactive element, text that can be resized, colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text, no motion that cannot be switched off, and a “skip to content” link at the top of every page.
